Sports-based resilience training improves mental health in teen boys

Teenage athletes who undergo two hours of sports-based mental health literacy and resilience training enjoy improved wellbeing and are better equipped to deal with life’s setbacks, according to new research led by Dr Stewart Vella from the University of Wollongong.
   The Ahead of the Game program training course was tested on 350 boys aged between 12-18, across three different sports.

Staying safe online means following a few guidelines firstly, digital platforms are a key source of news and information for many Australians.
   New research from Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) found that 48 per cent of Australians rely on online news or social media as their main source of news, which is more likely to be accessed through mobile phones and apps.

   The company has collaborated with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation to produce a series of videos ‘Get Media Smart’ that shine a spotlight on the 'must-know' tips to help navigate online hazards.

37 creative workers get busy in 32 Vic government schools
