Teach For Australia’s Future Leaders Program is for aspiring leaders teaching in outer regional and  remote schools who want to develop their leadership skills and deliver lasting impact for their students.
  Delivered by teach for Australia the 2022 intake is now open and nominations for the program from principals is encouraged.
   There is a very distinct skill set attached to teaching and leading in a rural setting and the program is sensitive to that. Read more

Going from good to great isn’t necessarily easy. When something is going well, often there is no impetus to do it even better.
   “Why bother, the results speak for themselves? Our students perform well above norms.”
   In these circumstances, it can take a conscious effort to entertain possibility, shift practice and do things differently.

As Covid-19 continues to impact how we live, educators have had to rapidly adapt to online learning. While this may have initially been viewed as a temporary measure, new research has shown a hybrid learning model has several advantages over traditional classroom learning.
   Driven by the desire to improve, innovative schools have followed suit. Other schools have adapted out of necessity.

Paleo passion maps a pathway

Sophie Field's interest in palaeontology has been noticed and encouraged by Flinders Uni. A prize-winning Year 12 student, Field went on a Flinders University fossil expedition to the Naracoorte Caves and says she will take the opportunity to study palaeontology at university.
   The Reynella East High School student joined the second year Bachelor of Sci (Palaeontology) trip to the World Heritage Listed Naracoorte Caves. Read more
