A better NAPLAN?

Although NAPLAN aims to identify students not meeting minimum national benchmarks trends in the test data have shown no improvement for those disadvantaged students and there is a danger of some testing fatigue developing among students.
  "Test participation has declined over the years. There is an increasing number of students who are not valuing NAPLAN, or seeing any value in the information it provides about their learning needs or achievement," says Associate Professor Karen Murcia, from Curtin’s School of Education

Children More Confident about Dealing with Online Risks

The internet is where kids go to work, play and socialise and they are well aware of the threats that might lurk there; when surveyed, half of the children involved perceive the internet to be more dangerous compared to before the pandemic.
  Over one-in-four (29%) have encountered someone online who acted in a hurtful manner towards them in the past; one-in-five couldn’t tell if they had been confronted. Read more
